How is Nasal CPAP Started?
HOW IS NASAL CPAP STARTED?
Nasal CPAP is available only by prescription from your doctor. As with many new treatment interventions, Nasal CPAP therapy will involve a change for you and your family. At Coastal Sleep, our Respiratory Therapists aim to make this transition as easy as possible. We will take the time to help you understand the importance of CPAP therapy. We understand that by providing you with education and the proper CPAP system, your chances of success improve dramatically. Through the Sleep Disorders Program we will provide support and encouragement throughout the course of your therapy.
SLEEP DISORDERS PROGRAM
During our initial visit with you we will discuss and answer all your questions regarding your trial with your CPAP unit. Your first night begins with an overnight sleep test, which includes wearing a finger probe overnight to measure your heart rate and oxygen levels. During the second night you will try your CPAP machine for the first time. A respiratory therapist will be available to you at all times to answer any questions and concerns that you may have. |

3 Months, 6 Months and Beyond – After effective treatment is found, your Coastal Sleep representative will keep in contact with you for scheduled maintenance checks and to help ensure continued treatment success. |
